Victoria Chick's Bio and Resume

BIO

Having been raised in a rural life in Little Canada, Minnesota, Victoria Chick used drawing as a child to learn and understand. Moving to Liberty, Missouri and its nearby cultural opportunities at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, exposed her to other ways of seeing. College in Lindsborg, Kansas with its Birger Sandzen Art Gallery was an eye opening experience in color. She received a BA in Art at the University of Missouri at Kansas City and an MFA in painting at Kent State University in Ohio. Related experiences that have been influential include work as a registered art therapist and teaching art history and studio classes at the college and university levels.  Now living in Silver City, New Mexico she is a full time painter and printmaker.
